Citroens are cheap, looks like I could get one for less than it would cost to have shipped here. A lot less, considering this is the wrong coast...

I’ve already been planning to import a nice E28 535i someday, but knowing that I could have a Citroen DS for similar money, maybe even less, is an interesting development....

I’ve seen big prices on genuinely nice DS for a long time - I’d be leery if they are really cheap.

That one is cheap enough that it seems a bit suspect, others around that price have visible rust. But, there are genuinely nice looking ones with better photos for 8k-12k euros or so, which is still better than the prices they are over here. Not as good as I thought, but still more attainable than I thought

I could imagine 12K for a decent enough car. I have seen nice ones for double that, but one might not want something too perfect if it will be driven.
I suspect they are quite expensive to restore, the cheapest examples might be cheap for a reason.
